Hacer botones

Bueno queria consultar si alguien me puede ayudar con botones para mi web

<a href="http://www.muimperium.cl.tc" target="_blank">http://www.muimperium.cl.tc</a> esa es pero los botones son un asco queria ver si alguien me puede ayudar a hacer unos que sean buenos o hacer solo uno que diga descargas y que al tocarlo cambie de color o haga algo ojala sea gif o flash =D! bueno si alguien me ayuda se lo agradeceria de maravilla
